Hope is for Heroes

What is it that you really want?

Could you honestly answer that question, if you really tried? Can you ever narrow down your wants to one thing? Is there really a singular purpose we have in life? Perhaps.

If you’re lucky you will know what it is that you really want. If you’re luckier you will have the means to get what you want. And if you’ve done enough good, you will actually get what you want.
However, for those of us who aren’t that lucky, the question in life will always remain: What do I want?

There isn’t an answer to that question. But there are a hundred and one ways you could keep yourself from getting there. And the first one is doubt.

It’s a curse, if you ask me. We question ourselves until the risks outweigh purpose, determination and hope. And then we back down; we look elsewhere; we settle; we give up when we shouldn’t. And then before we know it, we’re asking ourselves what it is we really want.

It’s okay to have meager chances, it’s okay to not succeed, and it’s more than alright to fail. But it’s never okay to give up. I’d rather run in circles than not run at all.
